The prefecture announced Tuesday that a life was saved thanks to Paray-le-Monial officers responsible for maintenance and safety on the Route Centre Europe Atlantique (RCEA). They intervened on a vehicle stopped on the emergency lane of the RN79, near Digoin, heading towards Moulins. The "savior" of the day has been found.

If he were ever to experience the same situation, he would like someone to do the same thing for him, the life-saving gesture that comes from falling unconscious at the wheel of a car. David Comte, 50, senior team leader at the Operations and Intervention Center (CEI) in Paray-le-Monial, is modest – it was our newspaper that contacted him, not the other way around – but his intervention on Thursday, July 24, with a driver who had lost consciousness, will remain etched in his memory… and in that of the victim.
